The collector or the accounts?
A collector’s results are their skill, plus the accounts they were given, plus chance. A quick test, and how to judge skill fairly.

Is it the collector, or the accounts? How do you tell skill from luck?
Usually, it is both. A collector’s results are their skill, plus the accounts they were given, plus chance. On a small book, over a few weeks, the accounts and chance can swamp the skill.
Start with a quick test. Look at everyone on the same kind of account. If nobody does well, it is the accounts. If one collector stands out where the rest struggle, it is probably the collector.
Then compare like with like, over months, not weeks. Most collectors turn out strong on some kinds of account, and weaker on others, rather than simply good or bad.
Be careful what you rank. A raw leaderboard ranks the accounts and the luck as much as the people.
Judge skill on similar accounts, over months. Not on raw totals.

Three numbers off your dialer and collections reports give an illustrative figure for your floor. It is at best informed guesswork until your own history is measured.

Would it be a bad idea to spend 45 minutes finding out?
If your shop does not qualify, you will hear it on the call, not after you have paid for a report.
