The cost of doing nothing
Both sides worked out on a calculator: what doing nothing costs per $1,000 you collect, and what doing something costs, at 10% of the extra.
What the video covers
- There is a cost either way: a cost of doing something, and a cost of doing nothing. Only the first one ever comes with a quote.
- What doing nothing costs, item by item: the right collector for each customer rarely gets the conversation, collectors leave when they don’t win enough, clients send more to agencies that convert more, and right-party contacts aren’t getting any easier.
- The sum, on a calculator: in a live test the matched half collected 25% more per account reached. On every $1,000 you collect, that is $250 left on calls you already made.
- What doing something costs: 10% of the extra, so $25 of that $250, and you keep $225. Before that, the $15,000 Floor Assessment, credited against Stage 2 fees above the $2,500 monthly minimum in the first 12 months.
- A table of the same sum for floors of different sizes, and where to work out your own.
One test, not a forecast
The 25% comes from one randomized live test at one agency: one book, the same agents on both halves. Your floor’s number will be different. The calculator on the home page works it out from your own floor, and the case study sets out the test, every figure and its limits.
Transcript
There’s always a cost. A cost of doing something, and a cost of doing nothing. Only one of them ever comes with a quote.
Doing nothing never sends a bill. But the right collector for each customer rarely gets the conversation. Collectors leave when they don’t win enough. Clients send more to the agencies converting at a higher rate. And right-party contacts aren’t getting any easier.
In a live test, the matched half collected twenty five percent more per account reached. On every thousand dollars you collect, that’s two hundred and fifty dollars left on the table, on calls you’ve already made.
Doing something costs ten percent of the extra. Twenty five dollars. You keep two hundred and twenty five.
Two hundred and fifty dollars to do nothing. Twenty five to do something.
If your book is this size, this is what each side looks like.
Your floor’s numbers will look different. Go to bestpair.ai, and use the calculator to work out what doing nothing is costing you.

Three numbers off your dialer and collections reports give an illustrative figure for your floor. It is at best informed guesswork until your own history is measured.

Would it be a bad idea to spend 45 minutes finding out?
If your shop does not qualify, you will hear it on the call, not after you have paid for a report.
