If the Floor Assessment shows no gain, what do we pay?
You pay the $15,000 Floor Assessment fee, which is invoiced when the Order Form is signed, due before any data moves, and not refundable. You keep the report whether or not you go on, and if you opt out in writing within ten business days of the readout, nothing further is owed. The Floor Assessment is the pilot, and it is paid.

What you pay for the Floor Assessment, whatever it finds
The Floor Assessment (Stage 1) is a fixed fee of $15,000. It is invoiced on the Effective Date, the date of the last signature on the Order Form, and is due within seven days and before any data moves. The fee is not refundable. The two stages are set out on the homepage.
The fee covers one assessment: one data delivery, one report and one readout, for every campaign listed on the Order Form, assessed together. Nothing changes on your floor during Stage 1, and no accounts are rerouted. People make every call, and BestPair never contacts consumers in either stage.
What you keep if the report shows little room
The report is yours to keep whether or not you go on to Stage 2. It covers, for the campaigns in scope:
- The estimated opportunity, worked out from your own history and shown as a range. The Order Form calls it an estimate from past data, and not a forecast or a guarantee.
- Actions you can take now, with or without BestPair, on coaching, hiring profile and scheduling.
- Gaps and data readiness: where current routing leaves money, and how usable your data is.
- A one-page Stage 2 business case for your decision-makers.
If the range is small, that is the answer the report exists to give, and you can act on its coaching, hiring and scheduling findings without BestPair. A sample report shows the format.
Stopping after the readout
The readout is booked when the Order Form is signed. Stage 2 starts on the first day of the month after the readout, with no further signature, unless you opt out in writing within ten business days of the readout. If you opt out, nothing further is owed.
If you go on and live pairing shows no gain
Stage 2 is measured against a control group: 20% of accounts stay on your current routing, and both groups are scored each month on dollars collected per account contacted. What holding back a control group costs.
- No promised result. BestPair does not guarantee any level of collections or lift.
- Small or zero lift costs the minimum. The monthly fee is the greater of 10% of the extra and $2,500, so a month with no gap costs $2,500.
- An exit in the first 90 days. You may end Stage 2 at any time in its first 90 days with 30 days’ written notice. The term and the exits.
- The credit follows the fee. The $15,000 is credited only against Stage 2 fees above the $2,500 minimum, so it is used only in months when pairing earns more than the minimum. Credit still unused a year after Stage 2 starts, or when Stage 2 ends, lapses.
The first months of live pairing can trail the control group, for reasons set out in why live pairing can trail at first.
The Floor Assessment is the pilot
The Floor Assessment is the pilot, and it is paid. What you are paying for is the report: an estimate from your own history, findings you can use with or without BestPair, and a business case for deciding on Stage 2. The live test against a control group happens in Stage 2, and its first 90 days carry the exit above.
Common follow-up questions
Can we do a free pilot first?
The Floor Assessment is the pilot, and it is paid. Nothing changes on your floor during it, and the live test against a control group comes after it, in Stage 2, with an exit in its first 90 days.
Is the fee refunded if we decide not to go on?
No. The Order Form says the Floor Assessment fee is not refundable, apart from the service warranty in the Standard Terms. You keep the report, and once the fee is paid you may use it for your internal business purposes without time limit and share it with your advisers and clients under a duty of confidentiality.
Does the $15,000 count towards live pairing?
It is credited against Stage 2 fees above the $2,500 monthly minimum until it is used up. Credit still unused a year after Stage 2 starts, or when Stage 2 ends if that is sooner, lapses. In a month that costs only the minimum, none of the credit is used.

Would it be a bad idea to spend 45 minutes finding out?
If your shop does not qualify, you will hear it on the call, not after you have paid for a report.
